Father's Day Survival Course

The day will begin with a short lesson on the tools of the trade and how to sharpen and maintain them. This will be followed by some safety training and practical tips. Then you will select your timber and we usually use Sycamore and Sweet Chestnut for our courses.  The trainer will then take you through stage by stage how to carve using the tools. 

There will always be time for a brew and a chat around the campfire in our beautiful woodland setting. Lunch can be a packed one or why not get the Farriers luxury Tiffin tin delivered to the camp!

By the end of the day you will have the makings of a beautiful hand carved spoon. Let it dry naturally at home sand it down and oil it and the results are spectacular, with memories and skills to last a life-time. It can be very addictive and we can provide advice on the best tools for the job at the right price!!
