Dartmoor Challenge 2012 & 2014

In collaboration with Shelterbox, the Survival Wisdom team assessed, designed and implemented the safety cover plan for The Dartmoor Challenge 2012 & 2014.

The Dartmoor Challenge is a two day event that requires teams of four to carry a ShelterBox up to 30 miles over mixed terrain against the dramatic backdrop of Dartmoor National Park. Teams compete for points over a variable course where navigation, tactical decision making and teamwork count as much as speed and endurance. The Challenge is designed to be both physically and mentally demanding, however for any participants wishing to push themselves for longer and harder, 2012 saw the introduction of an ‘Elite’ level of the event (Approx 45m across the two days).

TESTIMONIAL

Gents,

Just a quick note to say thank you for all of your support to the Dartmoor Challenge. It was tremendously reassuring to have such professional input into the planning, safety and running of the event. Your flexibility, ingenuity and good humour were crucial to a safe and successful weekend – and, as always, it was a pleasure working with you all.
